

Yannik leads the research team at Prevision Medicine, developing new applications of the company’s technology in close collaboration with clinical partners. His role sits at the intersection of scientific research, regulatory strategy, and clinical application. Originally joining Berend Snijder’s group as his first PhD student, Yannik helped build the Zurich lab from the ground up. Driven by a desire to see academic innovation evolve into real-world patient impact, he co-founded Prevision to move advanced drug screening from the lab into routine care. Outside of work, Yannik enjoys attending concerts and music festivals, gaming, and relaxing by the river with family, friends, and an Aperol Spritz.


Valentin wears two key hats at Prevision, overseeing both the commercial scaling strategy and the company's financial stability and sustainability. With over 25 years of experience in senior financial management positions, he has spent more than a decade in the startup ecosystem focused on scaling biotech companies. As a co-founder, Valentin was drawn to Prevision by the unique mix of skills and vision among the leadership team, combined with a powerful technology that transforms cancer care into a truly personalized journey. He thrives in Prevision's fast-paced and high-impact environment. Outside of work, Valentin is an avid tennis player, a fan of mountain sports, and loves spending time with family and friends.


Sahar acts as Prevision’s key process coordinator and regulatory anchor, playfully describing her role as maintaining the structure and compliance that keeps the company moving forward safely. She serves as a critical bridge between pioneering R&D efforts and commercialization, ensuring that cutting-edge solutions adhere to the highest regulatory standards for patients. An entrepreneur by training who has founded and scaled her own company, Sahar is driven by data-backed evidence and a passion for turning complex data into better days for patients. Outside the office, she finds joy in sports, traveling, and being a mom.


Rebekka brings her dual expertise to Prevision Medicine by working across both the software and wet-lab teams. She co-develops the Previ384 pipeline for automated image analysis while simultaneously processing and analyzing incoming customer samples. Rebekka's journey with the technology began during her PhD at ETH Zurich in Berend Snijder’s group, where she worked on collaborative clinical projects to bring functional tumor profiling closer to routine care. She finds the deep purpose of helping patients to be the most rewarding part of her work. When she isn't analyzing data, Rebekka loves being out in the mountains hiking, climbing, and skiing, or relaxing indoors with board games, sewing, and knitting.


Philip is an experienced company executive with a deep history in the precision medicine and bioinformatics industries. Dedicated to advancing clinical, research, and drug development applications, he brings a diverse skill set to Prevision that spans gene expression profiling, product strategy, business development, and marketing. Philip holds a PhD in Life Sciences from ETH Zurich. Outside of leading the company's vision, he loves spending his time outdoors and being with his family.


Markus is a core member of Prevision’s Research & Development team, where he integrates, co-develops, and operates the company's cloud-based biosample analysis software. Holding a Master of Science in Computer Science & a Diploma in Data Science from ETH Zurich, Markus joined the company after being captivated by its innovative technology and the vision presented by the CEO. For him, the most rewarding part of Prevision is the perfect balance of making a tangible impact on cancer treatments while collaborating daily with an insightful, high-energy, and fun team. In his free time, Markus enjoys hiking, reading sci-fi, physical computing, socializing, and sailing.


Berend is a leading figure in the field of functional precision medicine shaped the pharmacoscopy technology at the core of Prevision Medicine. A Faculty Member at the Botnar Institute of Immune Engineering, a group leader at the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics and the Comprehensive Cancer Center Zurich, and a former Assistant Professor at ETH Zurich, his research focuses on the systematic functional and multi-omic profiling of human tissues. Passionate about translating innovation into real-world impact, Berend is a serial entrepreneur who has co-founded three spin-off companies, including Allcyte, Prevision Medicine, and Graph Therapeutics.


At Prevision, Jamuna leads all things comms. She is a versatile communications specialist with a rich background spanning journalism, marketing, and project management across both the private and public sectors. Jamuna specializes in planning and implementing stakeholder-focused communication strategies with a strong focus on impact, clarity, and engagement. In her free time, she enjoys reading, exploring cozy cafes, music, and spending time with loved ones.


At Prevision, Ben sits at the intersection between scientific research and clinical application. Internally, he works closely with the Science and Tech teams to optimize and develop new cancer diagnostic tests, while externally collaborating with clinicians across Europe to expand test accessibility, manage research collaborations, and plan upcoming clinical trials. Originally moving from the UK to Switzerland in 2017 for his Master's at ETH Zurich, Ben was inspired by co-founder Berend Snijder's scientific vision and went on to complete his PhD in his lab at the end of 2023. For Ben, the most rewarding aspect of his work is listening directly to oncologists about their needs, keeping Prevision's purpose firmly grounded in real-world patient impact. Coming from a family of professional musicians, music remains a major part of his life outside the lab; he spends much of his spare time playing the trumpet in various bands and setups around Zurich, including the ETH Big Band.
